Our commitment

LOARANA is committed to making loarana.com usable by everyone, including people who browse with screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or other assistive technology. We treat accessibility as part of building the site properly, not as an add-on.

The standard we work to

We aim to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines are the international benchmark for accessible web content and the standard most commonly referenced under the Americans with Disabilities Act.

What we have done

Chosen a base theme built with accessibility in mind. Checked colour contrast across our palette against WCAG AA thresholds. Written descriptive alternative text for images that carry information. Made the site navigable by keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator. Used proper heading structure and landmark regions. Labelled all form fields and written error messages in plain language. Ensured text can be resized to 200% without loss of content or function. Avoided conveying information by colour alone. Honoured the reduce-motion setting for animation.

What we deliberately have not done

We do not use an accessibility overlay widget. Products of this kind advertise one-click compliance, but independent testing has repeatedly found they fail to deliver it, and they can interfere with the assistive technology people already use. We would rather fix the underlying site.

Known limitations

Some third-party content — embedded reviews, payment fields, and social feeds — is controlled by outside providers and may not fully meet WCAG AA. We raise issues with those providers when we find them. Some images may lack complete alternative text while we work through our library.

If you cannot complete an order on the site for any accessibility reason, email us and we will take your order personally. You will not be charged more, and you will not miss out on anything.

Ongoing work

We review accessibility when we make significant changes to the site and at least once a year, using a combination of automated testing and manual keyboard and screen-reader checks.
