The variety
Why Deglet Noor
LOARANA packs one variety of date: Deglet Noor, whole, from a single origin in Libya, frozen within days of harvest, with nothing added. This is the fruit, and what it brings to the table.
Deglet Noor
Golden, not dark.
Deglet Noor has an amber to golden brown color, a soft, tender texture, and a gentle caramel sweetness.
Whole fruit, pit in. Nothing added.
Hold one up to the light and it glows. The flesh is amber and translucent, the whole fruit intact, the pit a shadow inside.
Rich caramel sweetness
Rich and caramel sweet, with no added sugar of any kind. The sweetness is the fruit’s own, and it stays gentle.
Soft, tender texture
Soft and tender, the whole fruit intact. Keep the box frozen until ready to enjoy, then let the dates sit for about 20 minutes before serving. Five dates is one serving.
Whole fruit, pit in
Every date is sold whole, with the pit in. This is printed on the box as well.
Nothing added
Ingredients: dates. Nothing added. Packed in a facility that handles only dates.
Single origin
One region. One harvest. One standard.
LOARANA is not blended. Every box comes from the same growing region in Libya and the same season’s harvest, selected and packed to one consistent standard.
Frozen within days of harvest
Freshly harvested. Frozen within days.
After harvest, the dates are selected and frozen within days.
Whole Deglet Noor, chosen for rich caramel sweetness and soft, tender texture.
Frozen within days of harvest as part of how we preserve the fruit. Nothing is added.
Your order ships ambient. For best color and texture, keep frozen until ready to enjoy. After opening, refrigerate. Let the dates sit for about 20 minutes before serving. Shelf life is 18 months, with the best before date printed on every box.
